The Bells Remember (9/11)

The bells are ringing differently today

There is no mirth in their chime

I can hear the bells ringing today.

Ringing,

ringing so

The bells are weeping

just like they did before

They ring for the saved

They ring for the lost

They ring for the mourning

They ring for the fighters

They ring for the heroes

They ring through fires

They ring through horrors

They ring through darkness

They ring through pain

They ring through sorrow

They ring for sunshine

They ring for growth

They ring for promise

They ring for better

They ring for new days

The bells never stop ringing

The bells never stop ringing
